my thoughts

Constantine should have not been voted out of the American Idol. It's a shame!
Alright! i fancy him, but hey he has talent and he should have been a part of the final 3. kung si Jasmine Trias nga eh!! arrgh!

anyway, ive finished Gossip Girl and Bergdorf Blondes. Berdorf, was hilarious. Better than Candace Bushnell's Four Blondes. Although i kinda predicted the love story part, but still it was funny and fast paced. I couldn't put that book down.

Gossip Girl was ok. I could have appreciated it more if i read that when i was in Highschool though...

i'm officially a B-U-M.

and my daily routine is as boring as it could get. i wake up, eat, read/watch or sleep. cook dinner, watch, internet or sleep.

*sigh*

please help!

American Idol

Just watched the eliminations, and I cannot believe that America voted Anwar off the competition. He may not have the charms of Constantine, but definitely he should not have been the one eliminated tonight.

Oh, well. That’s life.

To work or not to work

I’ve been contemplating on working or have a little more vacation before working. Really, I want to work. But I got a lot of unsolicited advice that I should take a little time off before working. It makes sense, since working may mean no sem breaks and summer breaks. But I’m also really excited to work and, ok, I admit that earning my own money is the real motivation here. I know this should not be the reason why I want to work, and I know I might regret or get sawa agad. But hey! I can’t help but think that I will be able to afford some of my luho.

And there is one field I want and would really love to pursue. I’m just chicken to submit my resume and sample works. I may not be good enough kasi… and this is something I’ve been unconsciously into for years now. And because I love this so much, I know that if they reject me, I may not want to continue doing this, and I’d be scarred for life.

So there, I might just be contented keeping this blog and be unedited for all I care!

Not much done this week. Much more today! Might try to clean up my desk later after cooking dinner.

Ciao!

My Sassy Girl

Its funny how I’ve come to know this film. It was through Don, my boyfriend’s friend who knew about this movie. Don had a DVD copy, the three of them, Bobot, Jog and Don watched it one lazy afternoon. And their definition of fate changed.

As my boyfriend says it “hinawakan ako ng movie na yan”. Jog couldn’t stop talking about it, and he kept on saying I’ll borrow the CD para mapanood mo. So I told myself, it must be really good. And one time on the phone, I heard Bobot trying hard to speak Korean.

Last Night, I was able to watch it. Finally. It’s a Korean movie based on the stories written by Kim Sik Ho on the internet. And as always, I cried. The movie was simple, it was moving and if you’re in a good relationship it will make you thank the heavens you are in that relationship.

For the hopeless romantics, and those who just simply love to watch movies, this movie will definitely be in your Favorite Movies List.

I wrote my bf a new testimonial, all because of this movie. I was inspired and I know those who have watched it also has been moved by this beautiful love story.

I’d like to close this entry by quoting the old man in the movie who gave me, Jog, Bobot and Don a new definition of fate…

“Fate is making a bridge of chance for your love”

good day

Aside from having a good sleep after a good movie, it was a good day.

I went to school to return my toga, and I went home with two good books with for the price I still cannot believe.

I’ve been wanting to buy Bergdorf Blondes, I knew reading this will lift up my spirits. P339 was a pretty ok price for the book, I had E-purse worth P120 from Laking National so I said, Why not?

Then the cashier said I only need to add P140, I couldn’t be any happier. Books are on sale pala in NATIONAL BOOKSTORE!!!!! 20% off! On all imported books!! I believe Angels and Demons are on Sale, so as Five People you meet in heaven, Da Vinci Code and lotsa more. I think Paolo Coelho too. So for all yah bookworms, head to National its only until May 1.

P226 na lang ang Bergdorf! I also bought Gossip Girl for P195. That’s why it’s a good day!

ANECDOTE

One lazy hot afternoon my boyfriend and I spent almost three hours on the phone like a high school couple. It’s surprising that even if we talk on a daily basis, we still have so much to talk about. This one that I’m going to share with you still make me laugh when I think about it.

We were talking about these girls that they’ve met and usually hangs out with them in Alabang. So I was teasing him which one was his crush. (names are changed)

JOG: dun nakilala ni Bobot si Denice.

KAYE : ah, dun ba ?!

JOG: oo, at saka yung isa si Maureen na mejo date din ni Anton

KAYE: ah, yung crush mo

JOG: HELLOOO? Siya ang may crush sa akin!

Hahaha. It may not be so funny to you, but if you just heard how my boyfriend

Said hello like a girl, it is damn funny for me!

Enjoy your shoes

I love shoes. Who girl doesn’t? I especially love tsinelas. And its just recently that I’ve realized that on every birthday or so, if there’s something I ask for its for shoes.

On my first year in college I begged my mom to buy me Birkenstocks, the white and blue one. Then on my 18th birthday, I couldn’t resist to ask for these oh-so-comfy Bass thongs. Then there was the Nike Presto craze, I had searched and searched for the perfect one. Just before my birthday, I got the black leather ones and a surprise human traffic encounter (that’s another story). Then Last year it was Happy Feet, and this year it has got to be Haviannas. I know the craze started last year, but I was contemplating on how much it cost! And my metro sexual boyfriend who has been sssshhhing the idea (of buying so expensive rubber slippers), bought us the cheaper, also comfortable, locally made BEACHWALK as an alternative. I love it, and its black. It’s great on torn jeans and stuff but I knew my heart could not rest without having my pair of Haviannas.

Shoe conquest

And so, on a spontaneous afternoon, with my boyfriend and our friend Don, I hoped Rustan’s U still has a size 6, baby blue (the color I was planning to have, I have enough pink) Haviannas. As I saw the little stall they have for Haviannas and a note that said they do not accept reservations due to the high demand of the made in Brazil slippers, I knew this would not be a glorious I-finally-have-it moment. Not to mention the crowd of women, hoping and fighting for their own pair. It took me tons of trying all the color and style and we went back to Rustan’s twice before I made the decision of my life.

First problem: after all the trying and the struggle to have the chance to try that pair that another woman holds, when I decided on which pair I liked, they did not have size 7-8, which I thought was a better fit than the size 5-6. And when I almost wanted this pair, the color, the design, and the size, it was their last pair. Which I just found out, men don’t get. Well, jog and don we’re really good shopping partners, but they we’re of course, MEN. So they couldn’t understand that the LAST PAIR means, it was the pair everybody had tried on and are usually some sorta worn out and unclean. A pair nobody would want and a pair nobody would spend their money on. So, when I told them I liked this pair, and I’m not getting it because it’s the last pair, both hollered at me saying “ANO NAMAN NGAYON?” which made me laughed and realized why some men don’t have nice pair of shoes. But Don said, the rubber shoes he was wearing was a former “last pair” and it turns out to be ok. So, yah they talked me out of it.

The runners up

Jog wanted me to have the blue and orange Hawaiian printed pair, he said it was really summer looking (I know, my boyfriend’s gay) but I thought and Don thought it’s too girly, and just for once I wanted not to be so girly. Don also thought I’m nuts and those other women also for spending almost a thousand on a pair of “tsinelas”. He wished his girlfriend Adine wouldn’t find out about it and wouldn’t think of buying.

I also tried on the baby blue pair I planned to buy. But it was their last pair.

Then there was this two toned blue and purple pair, that I thought was cool and so did Don.

I almost didn’t have that pair, when the lady said it was their last pair, but I asked my boyfriend to ooze that lady his charm and ask if they still have another pair since mine was the display. The lady, who was not so nice to me, said she’d try and look. And after a few minute she got the pair for me.

I went out of U feeling happy and accomplished. The two we’re teasing me like high school boys and my boyfriend made it more perfect when he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
