Alanis Morissette
I can be an asshole of the grandest kind
I can withhold like it’s going out of style
I can be the moodiest baby that you've ever seen
And you've never met anyone
Who is as positive as I am sometimes
I am the wisest woman you've ever met.
I am the kindest soul with whom you've connected.
I have the bravest heart that you've ever seen
And you've never met anyone
Who's as positive as I am sometimes.
You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can’t relate
And you’re still here
I blame everyone else, not my own partaking
My passive-aggressiveness can be devastating
I'm terrified and mistrusting
And you’ve never met anyone as,
As closed down as I am sometimes.
What I resist, persists, and speaks louder than I know
What I resist, you love, no matter how low or high I go
I'm the funniest woman that you've ever known
I am the dullest woman that you've ever known
I'm the most gorgeous woman that you've ever known
and you've never met anyone
Who is as everything as I am sometimes
You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can’t relate
And you’re still here
And you’re still here
And you're still here...
I heard this song on the radio on our way home from Napa. Its the craziest and cheesiest song I've ever heard for a long time now...
I wanted to highlight each verse, but there are some i think i am not.i hope.
This song made me realize how crazy i can get sometimes and how much crazier Jog is for putting up with everything...
And this song only proves that when we do get in love, the real kind, we don't really know when and how we love our partners flaws.

Watup?
I needed to check out Oprah’s website to see when is Oprah shown, and what on channel. At night, I watch Friends, SATC, Everybody Loves Raymond, CSI, VH1 presentations, Fear F1actor, and just last night I watched the first few episodes of Being Bobby Brown! (I know! Haha)
I frequently watch the Food Network, from Everyday Italian, 30 minute Meals, my favorite Good Eats, and Barefoot Contessa. I wonder where Nigella Bites is shown.
The weather has been crazy. In the morning it would be sometimes brezzy (that would be a good weather), but it is usually hot. I was surprised that it could get that hot here. I mean, I thought
I’ve been telling Jog, how advertisements are done here. I was shocked. In
And Mc Donald’s serving salads? Uhm..maybe because sales has been affected by supersize me! Just maybe…

Last sunday, Ate Cat, jog's sister took me out for dinner and some gambling..haha we went to Cache Creek, and played on some slot machines. We came home the next day na. I enjoyed naman, and I've seen a lot of Filipinos.hmmm,we really like gambling.
I was depressed with all the news that Ive been able to watch this past week, it's a shame. i don't like to say that, but it really is a shame, with all that has been happening with our country-politics.
YM,has been a lot of help to lessen my homesick-ness. and i guess, it would be my friend for the next few months..
The weather is good here, mainit in the morning, then really brezzy at night.
so i might just have to end this nonesense before it bores me out...

I have always been attracted to deep set eyes, "payat" legs, nice toes, moles in the face, and "kalbos".
I have always wanted a bf who likes to go out on friday nights, someone who could make me laugh, someone who is patient, someone i could be silly with, someone who would appreciate my cooking, someone who wouldn't mind taking the backseat for me.
I have always hoped to be in a relationship wherein there's trust, honesty, respect, appreciation and love.
i never thought i could have that kind of man and that kind of relationship with one person. It does exists. and now, i have all that i ever wannted.
I better stop now, or else i might sound like im selling my bf...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOG!!!! Hope you'll be able to read this on time....
You know how much i wanted to be there...hope you'll have a blast!
take care! and i miss you...so much!
see you soon!
P.S. I forgot that i also want someone who will rub my back, when i've drunk too much tequila!!!hehehe
I think its a shame when a Filipino doesn't even know how to speak our language.
My mom has this friend, who migrated here in the US when her son was, i think, 8 or 9. They went home last year, and the boy, now in college doesn't know and understand any single tagalog word!!!
And recently, I met this family, and they have a 18 year old son who comes to Manila for vacation every now and then, and he also doesnt speak our language. I know he was born and raised here, but come on, you're still a Filipino!
I don't understand why these people don't speak to their sons in their native language. Kahit konti.
I have nothing agaisnt English, I write with that language, but i don't think we should forget about what we were born with.
I think it will not make you a less of a person when you know Tagalog even if you grew up someplace else. Rather, its an advantage. You instantly know two languages.
I also think its a disgrace when people in Manila, talk in English and feel superior. I also don't like people who come here in States, for a vacation, and suddenly when they come back, they immediately take on the accent. OH PLEASE!
I remember having this conversation with my friend Jen, we were talking about this singer who has been living in Manila for years and has been making a living there and he still doesn't know how to speak tagalog! As Jen says " Natatangahan nga ako sa kanya eh, ang tagal na niya dito hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin siya marunong magtagalog."

Politically incorrect
I was surprised and pleased that President Arroyo finally broke her silence. I have faith in her that she was honest and sincerely asking for the understanding and forgiveness of the people. Although in her speech, what I was looking for was her assurance that there was no manipulation or incorrect results of the May 2004 elections. She also did not mention who exactly was the COMELEC Official she was talking to.
This will not be the end but only the beginning of a new issue. Because of her admission, everybody knows that there is indeed a TAPE, that is her voice, and she was indeed talking to a COMELEC Official. I think that due to her actions she broke a law, and should face the consequences. Senator Pimentel says she should resign and step down, while Senator Drilon thinks that for the President to admit it and apologize to the public is already a big thing. I should say, it was indeed a humble act for her to apologize and admit it to the public that she was wrong, I also feel she was sincere, but of course being the President isn’t an excuse; it isn’t a privilege to be absolved. It only makes her more responsible, because the people who voted for her expect an honest leader. Kaya nga ikaw ang Presidente. Her lack of judgment only made her less credible and flaws like this couldn’t just be forgotten and forgiven by public apology and admission.
I don’t know much about the legalities of the matter but I don’t think it is best to oust her, have a snap election or have another revolution. I think we have so much of that in our history. It only makes our economy weak, makes our country look weak. I cannot also think of any other person who could be our next President.
It makes me think that this is the second time the elected President has been subjected to dishonest governance. Is it our lack of judgment in voting a President? Or is it our morals that should be questioned?
The devil in me couldn’t help but wonder… Why did the President needed to call that COMELEC official personally? She could have just asked someone else to make that call since she’s the President, right? Just like President’s Estrada’s alleged Jeuteng payola, why didn’t he keep the money some place else?
1. What is the last movie you watched? What did you think of it?
Mr. & Mrs. Smith - anything that has Brad Pitt on it is good. hehe
2. What movies are you looking forward to seeing this summer?
Harry Potter
3. Do you prefer to watch movies in the theater or at home?
Theater
4. Do you like to snack while watching a movie? If so, what do you choose to eat?
its depends if i havent eaten before the movie, if i have then i don't eat. but if i havent i usually have a hotdog and fries.
5. What book would you most want to have made into a movie? Who would you recommend for the leading roles?
The Devil Wears Prada - Maybe Andrea Sachs should be played by Cameron Diaz, since she's got the height, i just dont know about Miranda Priestley. :)
I was the 111th person to take this week's Monday Meme!

i don't really have a sweet tooth, compared to my dad and for some people that i know. but for some reasons i think i'm gonna have a sore throat because of eating too much chocolate. It started when my mom's friend gave us Meiji Macadamia Chocolates. Hay! super sarap! I finished 1 box in just one seating. Then today, when Jog dropped by, he gave me more chocolates!
i was checking on my calendar, and damn! I'm leaving next next saturday! yup. it's final, although i was able to have an extension of just a few weeks, i just can't believe that next next saturday, I will not sleep on my bed, not be able to talk to jog before going to sleep and gossip around with my roomate. time flies.
i'm so attached to all that i have here.i just hope i won't get home sick as soon as i arrive there. i hope there would be no airport dramas and i hope everything that i have planned to do before i leave will push through without hassles.
I had my "last Wai Ying" (until December) last saturday with my family. I don't think i will be able to taste such good chinese food anywhere else. I will miss Hakaw and their siomai.
Hay naku! FOOD nanaman!!!
will write before i leave.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
It’s so hard to write about those close to your heart, so I’ll just make this simple and short.
22 years ago, this man’s life changed. He became a young father at 18.
Today, he is the father of 3 children. And for those 3, he is their Handyman and their favorite person to make fun of. And he’s ok with that.
A lot say I look a lot like him. My mom says we have a lot of things in common, in terms of our attitude. There are times that I resent that, but when I think about it is true.
I remember him saying, fathers should not be troubled about their daughters decision with the men they will be with…cause what always happen is that daughters look for men who are like their dads.
I think so too, but if I am so like my dad, I shouldn’t be looking for another me. Rather, I should look for someone like my mom with whom my papa has found a great companion.
So, even if there are times that he’s not my favorite person in the world. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to my papa, who will always be the first man I have loved.
Buding, Dondi, Mama, and I LOVES YOU!!!!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY also to:
Lolo Tony
Lolo Pinong
Tito Mike
Tito Jojo
Tito Willy
Kuya Derek
Tito Leonard
Tito Arnel
Tito Joseph
Tito Rommel
Tito Roy
NiƱo
Allen
Jeff
And to all the fathers who will be able to read this.

Movie Lines
I love movie lines. I think everyone comes to that point where your whole life becomes a movie line. Or sometimes you live by it, or you suddenly try to find something or someone in your life that you could connect to a movie line. It becomes a part of our lives and beliefs. It can either make or break you.
During Jerry Maguire’s peak, every man was saying “You complete me”. It all made us all awww, but the truth is, before we all go into a relationship, we should be as “complete” as we could be. I liked that line, but then I realized having someone “complete” you doesn’t really work.
There was the Julia Roberts line in My Bestfriend’s Wedding I held onto for a year. There was also the poem in 10 things I hate about you, that I spent hours researching on the internet. And just like the Jerry Maguire line, I outgrew the line, or life has just thought me that this is real life and I’m not a movie star.
Troy Dyer of Reality Bites made me like bad looking boys with wits. Ethan Hawke’s character gave a justification to that generation. I have a lot of favorite lines in that movie, specially when Winona Ryder asked her to define irony, and Troy immediately answered.
There are hundreds of movie lines we all loved, shared, and related to. And I think that’s why we still love romantic movies even if we know it has the same endings. Movie lines make us feel good and give us even just a tiny chance that it could happen to anyone.
Any movie, whether good or bad will always be remembered by striking and easy-to-relate-to movie lines that we all love.
P.S.
I would definitely recommend “Nasaan ka man”. The movie was a great break from all the usual Tagalog Romantic Movies yearly produced. Diether Ocampo’s performance cannot be ignored. I think this is the first time I’ve seen him this good.

I have done nothing but insignificant things this past week and i'm not complaining. i think i'm just enjoying the time i have left before leaving. My mom managed to extend my stay and I'm not leaving this month.yey! but still its not long enough till jog's bday.
Speaking of Bdays, my newest inaanak was born last Tuesday. Nynna Venice ( i hope i'm right), first born of my good friend Vanessa. and I don't think I will be here in her Christening, unless they'll do it on December.
Jog and I watched a lot like love last tuesday, and I must say Ashton is wow! i specially like the part when he sang "i'll be there for you, these 5 words i say to you" with the electric guitar and all. hay! It reminded me of the Sassy Girls' definition of fate...Fate is making a bridge of chance for your love. Thanks Jeni for recommending the movie. So if you havent seen it, you better do. the movie is good. For me it was a good movie and spending time with the boyfriend.
Last night, Porli and I watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Porli and I couldn't help but adore and say "GWAPO" for every scene of Mr. Pitt! hehehe And ngayon ko lang napansin Angelina's lips...
so there, Ive done nothing but Bum around.

Why does it seem that everytime i tell close friends that I am going some place this month they are all "Whoa! Good for you!"
And these past few days that I've been catching up with friends, trying to make up for the lost time, and trying to spend the time i have left, they all seem to be happy and they say it's great news.
It is. really. but first everyone should know that its not for vacation but for a family emergency's sake. it seems like, everyone thinks that it would be fun fun fun! lalalala! opportunity! i mean, Im going there to help my Tita. Although, yah, its an opportunity to travel, travel alone and be in the place i love since the first time i saw it. but hey its not all wows and ahhs!
a friend was telling me, that i could get a job, and apply for a working visa maybe stay there for good and im like, wait! i am not going there for employment.
i know, it's an opportunity and who knows, but my main purpose and only goal is to help my dear tita, who has been good to me and my family. yes, maybe if an opportunity rises, well, why not? i know a lot of people who'd do anything to be given a chance to work there. but if it will defeat my purpose, i wouldn't think twice in dropping it.
and has anyone thought of the family i'll be leaving here?
i know, this is not the country some of us would choose to be part of right now with all the crises were in. but i don't think leaving the country is the solution. i don't think that moving forward means moving forward to a different place, a different country.
i mean, it's not so bad. i may sound so patriotic but what's so bad about that?
and i remember the paper i submitted to my teacher in ENGCOM1, about the SONA of former President Estrada, he wrote a note saying..."What have you done lately?"
because in my paper i wrote that although, He had so many plans undone, he should not be solely blamed for our country's situation.
so, i might be leaving Manila for a while, but I am definitely coming back to my home..

Im still alive
I totally forgot! Its Kikaye’s 1st birthday this month!!!! Its been a year of blah blah and fun of making myself heard or should I say read. thanks for all those who take their time to drop by and catch up with me.
There’s not much going on that is worth writing, so I have been absent in my own sanctuary.
In the past two weeks, there was a chance or a thought I should say of employment. But I was rejected having not being able to answer what the interviewer wanted to hear. Or should I say what she wanted to get or maybe she didn’t hear what she always does.
At the same time, the plans of me going to help a relative became clearer and sooner.
I think what had happened was just meant to be.
I am looking forward on this trip, being able to help and the thought of traveling alone for the first time is a good thing but I couldn’t help but think of all the things, places and specially people that I am going to miss.
I will not be able to cook dinner anymore for my family every night. I might miss the chance of helping my sister plan for her debut, although I already thought of just emailing and chatting with her to make the necessary arrangements. Princess might not remember me anymore when I get back 6 months later. Soap operas every night after dinner and during dinner.
I will miss birthdays of friends: Nina, Gian, Anne, Mira and of course Jog’s. It could have been his second birthday together but as fate would have it, we have to celebrate it miles apart.
I am going to miss everything about our house, and my bumming around. Its just some of the things that I’m going to miss.
Yesterday, Jog took me to Roxas Boulevard. We ate siomai, squid balls, balut, dirty ice cream, fries and Mc Float. Just one of the most creative dates Jog has taken me to, he also wrote me a poem. It was funny, mayabang but heartfelt. It was the assurance I needed.
I am blessed with a loving family, reliable and trustworthy friends, and a boyfriend who is caring, funny, honest, mushy at times and crazy. I always say this, but I am the luckiest girl. I may sound arrogant but I guess I’m just grateful.

PJP II
I recieved this from email...
Friends,
In less than 24 hours more than 2,000 people from all over the world have
signed the petition to proclaim that Pope John Paul II should be known
henceforth and forever as John Paul the Great. Not bad. But we need many
more.
We need a million names. So, it will take more than the faithful readers
of the Friday Fax to make this happen.
Each of you who read this message must send this to all of your family and
friends. And each of them must send it to their family and friends.
If you run an email report, send this out to your readers. If you have a
radio show, mention this on air. We can generate a million signatures and
these millions names will make a global splash.
Direct your family, friends, colleagues, strangers to PJPthegreat
and have them sign the petition. Then have them send their own alert to
their family and friends to get them to sign.
Do it now, friends.
Best regards,
Austin Ruse
President
C-FAM
PS Remember, the title "Great" is not bestowed by the Church. It is
bestowed by the people, by public acclamation, and by historical use.
Let's start this right now!

During sunday school, a small boy was told that its God who makes bad people good. "I know" said the little boy. "But mothers help a lot, too." - that's from Lucy Torres' column today.
To my Lola Tess and Lola Letty, thank you for giving us (Alexis, Dondi and I) loving parents.
To my Mom, who has always been the kindest, most loving, and cool Mom I've known.
To my Lola Angeling, for raising our super kulit Lolo Tony.
To my Tita Leng, for giving us Nathan.
To Tita Baby, for raising 5 kids and her grandchildren.
To Wena, for giving the cuties Sir, Lady and Princess.
To my friends mom's, if not for them i may not have the most dependable and honest friends.
Tita Lai, Tita Sally and Tita Ellen.
For my my friends
Cheese, Pam, Lei, Hannah and Vanessa, the new generation of mothers, for giving me inaanaks, Caley, Aiken, Kalel and Nynna.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
It is indeed the toughest job, but all of you have been good at it!
